4th District Convention set for April 20-21!
Oklahomas 4th District will hold their Convention in Pauls Valley on April 20-21. Saturday will be at the Donald W. Reynolds Recreation Center, 1005 N. Willow Street.
Delegates to the convention will have several items of business including the election of 3 delegates, 3 alternates and 1 elector to the National Convention in Tampa, FL this August!
If you are registered as a delegate, the information on the convention should be sent directly to you! Please take your 'delegate' obligation seriously.

House Speaker designate - Rep. Shannon - will Headline Annual BBQ!

Rep. T.W. Shannon, of Lawton, (House speaker designate for 2013) will be keynote speaker at the 18th Annual GOP BBQ set for Saturday March 31 in Lawton.
Rep.Shannon will be the first ever speaker from Comanche County. The CCRP is very pleased to have Rep. Shannon as their speaker for the evening.
The annual event draws a big crowd from all over Oklahoma and usually Texas, and will
kick-off at 6:00pm at the Worley Center (bldg 300) at the Great Plains Tech School, 4500 W. Lee.

State-Wide Precinct Meetings Set!
The State GOP has set Monday February 6 for state-wide GOP precinct meetings. Most counties will adhere to that schedule, but not all.
In Comanche County, precinct meetings and county convention will be combined and all will meet at a central location. This format has worked well for the past several years!
ALL will meet Tuesday February 7 at the Great Plains Tech School, Lawton, bldg 700, at 6:00pm for the precinct meeting; break at 7:00pm; reconvene with County Convention at approx 7:10pm.
The business agenda of the Convention is important and will be quite full: sign-up as delegates to 4th District and State GOP conventions; annual BBQ; other.
Don't miss being a part of the grassroots beginning of things political. Mark your calendars NOW and make plans to attend February 7. You must be a registered Republican to attend and vote!
Note: State party rules require that a person attend their precinct meeting and convention if they wish to be a delegate to 4th District or the State Convention.

Herman Cain to be in OKC!
The State Republican Party will host a 2012 Victory Rally in OKC on December 5.
Herman Cain, candidate for President, will be the special guest speaker. The event is set for 6:30pm at the OKC Marriott, 3233 NW Expressway. Only $20.12 per person - GOP MinuteMen are admitted FREE!

Presidential Debate Coming to Duncan!
On Thursday November 10th, the Stephens County Republican Party will stage a mock debate featuring local Republicans portraying eight GOP presidential candidates. Those eight brave souls have volunteered to research their candidate’s position on the issues and formulate answers as the candidate would. “This is not just for entertainment value,” Steve Fair, the Stephens County GOP Chairman said. “It is to educate local Republicans on those running.”
The ‘candidates’ seem to be up for the task. “I’m going to be Governor Rick Perry,” Wayne Watts says. “I plan to wear my cowboy boots and be as much of a Texan as a native Okie can be,” Wayne said. Congressman Ron Paul will be portrayed by Gil Jackson, a long time GOP volunteer. “I’ve got this,” Jackson says. “This will be fun and I can’t wait.”
The candidates will be asked probing questions by a three person panel who are also portraying members of the national media. “I would encourage anyone interested to join us, regardless of Party affiliation,” Fair says.
The debate will be held at the Red River Technology Center in Duncan in the Seminar Room beginning at 7:00pm. There is no admission charge and the public is invited.
